My Pantry

My pantry probably does not look like most. Actually, it’s not even a pantry. Pantry is merely an idealization of some future kitchen, and a term most people understand to mean place within which food is kept. Truthfully, this list will even include refrigerated items. Please do not keep these items in your pantry.

I try to buy seasonal, local, and fresh whenever possible. The following list exhibits merely the staples that are restocked and present week in and week out. The produce list varies by season. Actually, the whole list will change with the seasons and tides.

Produce

  • Shallots
  • Yellow onion
  • Spaghetti squash
  • Bok Choy
  • Broccoli (frozen)
  • Dark leafy greens (collards, kale, chard)
  • Apples
  • Carrots
  • Lemons
  • Limes


Nuts

  • Raw cashews
  • All-natural peanut and almond butters
  • Walnuts


Baking Essentials

  • Garbanzo bean flour
  • Coconut Flour
  • Potato Starch
  • Agar Agar
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Cocoa
  • Applesauce
  • Medjool dates
  • Baking powder/baking soda


“Dairy” Products

  • Unsweetened almond milk
  • Coconut milk (canned)
  • Eggs
  • Unsweetened coconut or soy yogurt

Fresh Herbs (by season, dried off season)

  • Basil
  • Oregano
  • Curry
  • Rosemary
  • Mint
  • Cilantro


Oils, Sauces, Seasonings & Spices

  • Bragg’s liquid aminos (soy sauce substitute)
  • Virgin coconut oil
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Chili Paste with Basil Leaves (WATCH FOR VINEGAR)
  • Spices: cinnamon,¬†nutmeg, dried basil, dried oregano, dried rosemary, sea salt, cracked black pepper, curry powder, chili powder, coriander, and red pepper flakes
  • Green curry paste
  • Fresh ginger
  • Lemongrass
  • Vogue cuisine vegebase (one of the ONLY yeast free vegetable broth bases I have been able to find)
  • Lemon juice
  • Lime juice

Beans, Pastas, & Grains

  • Beans (black, garbanzo, and cannellini)
  • Gluten-free pasta (brown rice or multigrain)
  • Quinoa
